Two calcites, a window at each tip

Two large calcites on a bed of amethyst; at the tip of each, a smooth, transparent triangular face

Two large calcites rise side by side from a bed of amethyst. At the tip of each one is a smooth, transparent triangular face, a window into the inside of the crystal. Around it the surface is matte, almost frosted, with small violet crystals embedded in it.

So the geode comes out whole

A blast breaks the rock open all at once. The wave that opens it also runs through the geodes inside, and a crack in the crystal cannot be repaired.

Since August 2026, Le Stage Minerals has extracted amethyst without explosives.

It does so with a ripper adapted from the marble industry, which works the rock without blasting. It is a single machine that travels with us from one quarry to the next: amethyst extraction moves forward one quarry at a time.

For buyers, the difference is in the stone: more whole geodes, fewer crystals damaged at the source.
